Vampires versus generators

There’s been a huge mother of a storm front working its way discombobulated from the Atlantic over the Iberian Peninsular and the little but mighty island of Ibiza since last night, so I sat and started talking to it, just as I’d been taught by Sonny Spruce all those years (decades) ago in New Mexico, when he was teaching me the Native American way of forecasting weather, and it told me categorically that there’d be a two hour intermission, once the vanguard had passed, before the main body of it caught up and that I should take advantage of it to jump off the computer, where I was making a beat and audio meditation, and hop into the yard to do some martial arts practice, as the vitamin D would do my bone marrow good and that if I allowed my thoughts to fully focus and my mind to be still, I’d receive important new clarity, after which I was to come back in and proceed to write an implausibly long sentence just like this one, this one in fact, now I come to think about it, prior to revealing whatever insights were gleaned, so I obeyed to the letter and here we are.

The interesting thing was, as John The Marine, who’s been lounging about on my sofa watching the sky pass by most of the day, will attest – the intermission did last precisely two hours.

How about that?

And how about this?

Vampires versus generators

It’s quite obvious (usually with hindsight, though you definitely knew it from the start but were somehow obscuring it from yourself by way of some sort of misguided politeness to the other), that there are certain people whose whole stratagem for life is to bring others down, through jealousy, laziness (in not going for it themselves), competitiveness, meanness or whatever, based on unresolved emotional childhood pain of course but nonetheless their responsibility. Interestingly, in getting you to collude and keep colluding in the game, they usually appear incredibly charming, alluring, fascinating, or compelling and plausible too. But by and by you notice your energy starting to drop around them or even when you’re thinking of them or them you and as time goes by they start pointing out your weaknesses, rather than your strengths – a method of teaching that runs diametrically opposite to my own, incidentally – until you start feeling obliged to question yourself, which is fine in the long run, once finally rid of them, but somehow wasteful of precious energy at the time.

Not that getting rid of them is necessarily that easy, even though you’re feeling the drag on your system. They’re addictive. This is because they are addicted to your energy and somehow this plugs you automatically into your own addictive circuitry.

These are the energy vampires.

And I’m not sure that any amount of healing can change their status.

I’m partly convinced that the present day fascination with vampires in general stems from the fact there are so many of the f*ckers around and they like watching their own reflections up on screen.

Then there are those who serve the opposite role in life’s theatre. These are the energy generators.

When you’re around an energy generator, you naturally feel, yes you guessed it already, energized. These are the ones who draw your attention to your strong points and in so doing discount your weaknesses, the ones who leave you feeling warmed in heart and belly, rather than feeling cold, tense and rather smelly.

For the former, you need to remain clearly aware of your energetic boundaries so you can spot when they’re being transgressed, as just being aware of the transgression is generally sufficient to stop it lodging permanently and within but a short time of getting clear on what’s happening are somehow delivered back to safety and away from them by your guardian angel, higher self or however you like to think of that all-protective phenomenon.

For the latter, you also need clear boundary control, to stop yourself getting addicted the other way, as in getting habituated to having them around to feed your chi.

Feed yourself your own chi and be free

And that implies you have to have some kind of handle on how to source your chi from within, which is where I come in with all my teachings, specifically School For Warriors 1&2, which is launching very shortly incidentally, not that this is intended as a plug but you should know about it, so look out for some sparkling emails about that coming shortly-ish.

I say it that way because this is a blog not an instruction manual, so I don’t want to get into instructing right now.

I’m driving up to London the middle of this week with my friend Noam, who wants to document the approximately three day drive on film, so we may come up with a few good clips of wisdom out of that – he’s reckoning a feature film but that’s only because he’s never done a long road trip with me before and so isn’t reckoning on how silent and contemplative I get watching the tarmac roll away beneath the wheels.

I’ll be doing workshops in Cardiff, London and Manchester – I’d put them up in the events page here but am rushing my nuts off and the electricity on this part of the island seems to have gone down in the storm so won’t be putting them up today, but look in www.barefootdoctorglobal.com on the events page, in case you’re around and want to come to something I’m doing there – or email me via a contact form on the site here.

With love and sincere wishes for whatever it is you sincerely want, Supercharged
