Sitting at Frankfurt airport waiting for a flight back to Nice, my mind all a'flood with insights and revelations, it occurs to me - and I tend to desist making generalizations about any nation or grouping of people unless positive and even then, only hesitantly, but nonetheless - that Germans , though fairly formal in interpersonal protocol, are on the whole comfortable in their skins, at home with what is, and what is, beneath and behind all these brilliantly sensible systems underlying the country's overall success, is the Tao, this ineffable, mysterious all-pervasive supra-consciousness ubiquitously informing, from the subatomic level, all that happens between, within and around us.
And because the collective consciousness here is supported by people being comfortable with themselves, I find it very easy to feel and see the Tao beneath and behind it all - and I tend to get a lot more smiles and greetings from strangers than elsewhere.
Maybe through some ancestral throwback, my face fits well with the DNA of the place but I suspect it's something deeper.
Along with seeing the Tao everywhere, comes remembering to love it, to love whatever's happening or apparently not happening in each and every moment, because what you're experiencing, while it may not always fit your expectations of bliss, is your life and to waste a single drop of it preventing bliss through self-pity or anxiety, is not only silly but rude as far as the Tao might be concerned.
Not that it gives a damn.
But such rudeness does attenuate your own joy.
As the Christmas break draws near, I'm allowing myself to be open to fresh insights and revelations, which I generally tend to hold off from most of the time, as my work requires constantly translating insights and revelations, simplifying them, explaining them with more and more clarity, so they can be effectively shared with whomever might want them and find them helpful.
So for me, allowing my head its head, so to speak, is a rare treat, and I'm intending to keep it in full receiving-mode for at least the next two weeks, which will give me just about enough time to order, contextualize and rationalize them ready for sharing when next year begins its merry rounds.
Talking of which I'm planning to make an audio and video gift for you in honor of this incredibly powerful year now coming to its close and of the new year, which is probably one of the most talked about, thought about, feared, revered year in human history so far.
I'll do these when I get down to Ibiza on the weekend and have a moment, so stand by for those.
Meantime, be supercharged in all you think, say and do - grab your life, live it, love it and ride it for all it's worth.
With love, Steph (Supercharged)
