In the immediate aftermath of another scintillating interlude in my intoxicating love affair with London, town of my birth and up-growing, following a quick late night air-born flit southwards home to surprisingly sun-blest Ibiza, I’m moved to share some observations, obviously probably entirely subjective and no doubt based on spurious criteria and filtered through the eye of a man who’s been travelling through the night instead of sleeping, yet I suspect which might nonetheless find some resonance with you, my dear, cherished reader.
Having witnessed, in passing, fairly stunning excesses of hedonism over the summer season in Ibiza, I was stunned even more by what I’ve just seen in passing through London town. Knowing the city better than the back of my hand, I’ve developed a set of reference points by which to swiftly discern the trends and moods governing the action at all levels of the social mix. I’ve always made it my business to do so, having been born an avid observer of humankind, so am able these days on my flying visits to take a reading with swiftness and efficiency, from the different strata.
The crucial and most interesting aspect to focus on, for me, is the outer edge at both ends of the spectrum: the homeless, the wretched and dispossessed on one hand and the creative innovators, the beautiful people on the other. The homeless appear to have become more organized, begging techniques slicker, more god-bless-you faux-sincere and definitely more fuelled by drugs and alcohol. And in the elegant symmetry with which this world of illusions presents itself, exactly the same could be said at the other end of the scale for the beautiful people who party, though obviously with more surface finesse and the begging a lot more discreet and disguised. And perhaps amid the decadence and opulence the hammering people are giving themselves in the name of celebrating life by getting out of it, it’s possibly even more poignant.
Facing up
My sense is that at the unconscious or semi-conscious level people from every stratum are processing the unspeakable notion that life as we know it is not going to be sustainable for very much longer and getting out of it is the only brief respite from the existential terror that notion engenders. But as with any form of anaesthesia, its effects are only short lived. And then comes the facing up.
And as far as I can see or have ever seen, the only viable way of giving yourself the capacity to face up, is through daily discipline, a regular once-, or twice-a-day self-attuning session using some form of psychophysical exercise, whether that be a martial art, a meditation form, yoga, running, dancing, climbing, cycling, or any activity that harnesses the mind to the body and affords you an instant of connection and communion with the Great Background Presence, the GBP, and I’m not talking about UK currency, though there’s nothing wrong with instating a healthy inbound flow of that, nor of any stable currency though interestingly, the way it tends to work Taoist wu wei manifesting style, is the more you instate the connection with the GBP, the Tao, the more the currency flows your way spontaneously and things all work out fine, as long as you’re not greedy about it.
The secret of this world of illusions
Everything you see, feel and experience is the Tao throwing shapes
After all, currency is only a representation of chi, the energy of the Tao, the GBP in motion and doesn’t exist in any a priori or intrinsic sense – it’s merely symbolic, hence malleable and moveable from the metaphysical level downwards/outwards.
And this was the gist of the manifesting master-class I held at the most salubrious feeling Hospital club in Covent Garden. It was an extraordinarily powerful event from where I was looking and the feedback was almost unanimously glowing, which is gratifying for me as the facilitator, so bless you if you were a participant – I think it was a pivotal moment none of us will ever forget and suspect the manifesting results for everyone over the next 30 to 90 days will be astonishing.
Fortunately the filming looks like it’s going to work out as an online video training too, so if you weren’t there you’ll be able to learn the technique and soak up some of the magic anyway. I reckon it’ll be ready towards the end of this year.
Similar levels and intensity of magic happened at the workshop I did at Alternatives too, around the issue of healing your life the Taoist energy medicine way, comprising techniques for healing and balancing the energy in the five vital organs, corresponding to the five elements, doing which not only regulates your mind, body and emotions, it extends to healing your relationships, your financial flow and all external aspects of your life. And if you were there, likewise I suspect it was a shared pivot point for all of us and many profound blessings of healing are about to befall us all. And I’m going to produce an online course based on that too.
At both events, as with every event I do, a moment was spent towards the end, sending love, energy and healing to everyone on the planet meanwhile, so if you weren’t there, which is probably the case based on the numbers theory, I do believe on account of the synergy generated at the time in both cases, that some potent wee blessing particles should be reaching you any time now, wherever you are.
Generate peace
Meanwhile, when faced with what looks like a world, at least in some respects, slipping progressively more out of control, rather than succumb to dread or dismay – unless of course you find those states enjoyable or productive – rally your focus on accessing universal peace from within and radiating the essence of that by will to the world and everyone in the world – and even more importantly to the Great Background Presence informing it all. This latter, not because the Tao needs extra peace – it doesn’t need anything, it just is – but because the Tao is like a mirror and when you project peace onto it, you get peace reflected back at you multiplied, rather than its opposite.
Once you have peace, all else is automatically added.
So it helps to remind yourself occasionally or even often, ‘when I seek within and feel the peace, all else will be automatically added’.
And there endeth a short, hopefully in some way edifying observation on where we’re up to, according to the subjective, yet keen eye of a modern day Barefoot Doctor on his rounds.
With love, Supercharged
The Tao is like a mirror: when you project peace onto it, you get peace reflected back at you multiplied, rather than its opposite.
