Writing from the coastlines of Ibiza, strangely moved by the mushy non-result of the UK elections, moved by the apparently unmoving nature of the situation, though fully aware the whole political paradigm is entirely cosmetic and superfluous to reality, merely an inefficient, clunky version and sham of a public forum, by which the population gets to have a half-baked media-manipulated conversation in not much more a sophisticated way than supporters of football teams get to chant at matches, it occurs to point out that real change happens despite all the half-baked conversations, no mater how well-intentioned.
Yin and yang
Real change occurs by the ever-alternating dance between the primordial yin, or contractive force and the primordial yang, or expansive force. So, taking the UK election non-result as an example, if social-economic-ecological change is required, which it would seem it is, it will happen despite politics, not because of it.
But this is not to imply fatalism. To the contrary, by attuning consciousness to the causative, subatomic level of realty, whence all manifest changes arise, each of us as individuals, are able to effect a shift on behalf of the collective by making a choice for it at the deepest level.
Power to choose new realities
In other words, by meditating yourself into a deep enough state, wherein your consciousness is one with the universal mind, the Tao, you are then able to visualize the shift you want to see, primarily by seeing it happen in yourself.
So assuming you wish to see a world able to sustain itself, in which wisdom, tolerance, broadmindedness, compassion, integrity, honor and good sense are the guiding forces, see yourself that way, then extend the vision to include seeing your (version of the) whole world that way. And the more people who do so, the more rapidly the exponential spread of the seeds for that reality will occur.
Exhortation
In a nutshell, I hereby exhort you to dedicate a few seconds a day visualizing yourself and your world healed, self-sustaining, and governed by wisdom, tolerance, broadmindedness, compassion, integrity, honor and good sense.
One of the fundamental metaphysical laws posits it only requires a single, sufficiently awake individual to see the desired change for the entire universe to respond accordingly.
