Noticing this particular passage of time carries a flimsy sensation with it, as if the outer surface of things is shimmering like a veil fluttering in the breeze of fresh consciousness, behind which the workings of the machinery can be glimpsed.
Flutters
And as we glance between the flutters, with a quick, ‘ah so that’s how it all works,’ as if glancing at the engine of a car under its hood, without really caring how as long as it drives, closing the bonnet and driving away into the world of the ten thousand things once again, something nags at us within to pull over, stop and take a closer look. As if the fluttering veil is calling us to it.
But the tool kit we’ve brought along to do the job (the rational mind with all its clunk and pomp) isn’t the one required for this. To take a proper look behind the veil and come away with a quantum life-shift up our sleeve, requires soul rather than intellect.
Soul
And you’ve got that in spades.
We all have.
Often it’s fairly latent and needs a prod to activate it.
The seat of the soul, according to the supra-Taoist schema is to be found in the thymus, a gooseberry down from the notch at the base of the throat, protected by the breastbone and awaiting stimulation to fire it up.
Placing a thought here is enough – a shard of awareness directed to it and it starts to reawaken.
It was fully awake at birth and continued being awake through childhood, but as the layers of social pretense were piled on, it gradually grew weaker, until on entering so-called adulthood (the full-blown pretense) at 21 or so, it atrophied altogether.
The thymus is the seat of soul and soul is playful – the playful urge that ruled the universe but which grew weaker as time went on and the world piled in upon you.
Reverse the trend.
Reactivate the thymus, reignite the soul.
And how?
One way to start is to slide over to www.school-for-warriors-blog.com and try the first exercise in the video there.
And the rest I’ll reveal in the glorious fullness of time.
What say you?
