This whole manifesting business grows increasingly fascinating over time. It seems the more expertise you gain in the way of wu wei, the less actual interest you have in manifesting things, at least specifically. And that’s exactly how it’s meant to go. The point of practicing the ancient Taoist wu wei (effortless manifesting system) is not actually to get the thing or situation you want, but to enjoy the process of setting an intention in motion and watching how the Tao pulls the necessary shapes to make it (or something entirely different) happen. And furthermore to use the experience of going through the process as an opportunity to learn to let go of self-importance and of investing in any particular picture as representing the holy grail.
Manifest beautiful surprises
It’s as if the Tao, or the way of following the Tao, uses the manifesting possibility as an allure to draw you in, but what you get once drawn, is an experience of the Tao in motion, so grand and spectacular, you stop caring which shapes it ends up pulling for you. You stop caring which way things turn out. Not because you’re a spoilt brat or are given to bouts of extreme nihilism, but because you love it whichever way it develops. You love being alive.
And when you love being alive, being alive tends to love you back and in that mutual flow, comes an endless stream of beautiful surprises.
So the way it is for me, for example, increasingly, is to be clear about my intention, which is to be of the greatest service possible and to enjoy being that optimally, then to ask the Tao to shower me with beautiful surprises.
Each day I open my heart, mind and self to beautiful surprises. I then let go of wanting to control or push things to resolution and instead let them unfold and find their own evolution.
Conjuring trick
This in contrast say, to those who live their whole lives assiduously manifesting specifics, thereby essentially attempting to control the way life goes, which is all well and good, but where’s the fun or excitement.
Surely that lies in watching how the Tao surprises you next.
Like watching some superb master conjuror performing tricks, each one more jaw-dropping than the next.
This is just an angle I present to you today. Tomorrow it may be a different one.
But it does seem more and more, that the more I let go and allow the Tao, the more magnificent the adventure feels.
I trust this will serve you well meanwhile and that it causes you to manifest a whole array of unexpected delights, the combination of which completely transforms your whole existence for the better by a major quantum leap.
And if that holds appeal, shout, ‘So be it!”, and carry on as you were.
With love, Supercharged
Don’t control or push things to resolution, let them unfold and find their own evolution.
