You yearn for mental clarity only when you’re in a state of dilemma and your head is too full of conflicting and competing thoughts to see a solution.
Internal silence is required.
As soon as silence occurs, the yearning stops.
Then it’s simply a matter of psycho-spatially placing all the elements clearly before you.
When you think clearly and your thoughts are focused, you determine how your life unfolds.
Now it’s you presiding over your reality rather than vice versa.
As soon as you’ve assumed the command position, the way reveals itself without forcing it.
To achieve such existential poise, you have to learn to flow like water, never blocking up or growing stagnant, always moving, humbly, respectfully around or over all obstacles, gathering force – to the level of a tidal wave when required.
Surrender Your Agenda
To be willing to become like water, you have to surrender your agenda to the underlying presence (Tao), informing the flow of events, you have to be willing to flow with it, rather than push against it.
The ancient Taoists called this investing in loss. By this they meant, letting go of self-important, egocentric thinking and allowing the primordial intelligence of existence to inform your thoughts, words and deeds.
To trigger this enter every potential situation with only one question on your mind: how do I serve here - how do I heal this situation?
More on the mechanics of clear, focused thinking will be forthcoming.
Suggestion
Meantime, visualize a clear, sparkling diamond turning slowly on its axis in the middle of your forebrain nine times and watch how clear your thoughts become subsequently.
